Description
12/16/21 - This is a nice example of a Winchester Model 1873 Lever Action Rifle, often referred to as "The Gun That Won The West". This one is all matching, chambered in .38-40, and was manufactured in 1885. Overall, the gun is in nice condition. The barrel has retained most of its original bluing with some small spots of discoloration and oxidation here and there. There is a series of some small dings near the muzzle end. The receiver and butt plate have lost most of their original finish with spotty brown patina throughout. The wood stock is nice with minor dings and scratches throughout. The rifling in the bore is a bit worn with minor pitting throughout. The gun is fully functional, and the action is smooth.Specifications
