Description
9/15/21 - This is an interesting example of a "between the wars" luger. It started out as a 1920's era commercial gun - crown/N commercial proofs indicate that. Also, it would have been made by DWM, but later reworked during the Nazi era (See WaA66 proof on right side). This rework was most likely done in the 1930's when the Nazi's were in power and trying to sneak guns into inventory which violated the Treaty of Versailles. They added the police sear safety, and the extra magazine safety. It is all matching and has an added police unit marking "L. Hi. 185" on the front strap. It comes with a matching-numbered police holster (dated 1929) and a matching-numbered tool. It also comes with a WWw-era police "Star K" magazine. The number on the bottom does not match the serial number but does match the unit marking. The gun has retained about 90% of its finish. There is minor wear on the side plate, side rails, and around the muzzle. Scratchy wear and patina on the straps. Comes with excellent un-numbered grips. Excellent bore with strong rifling.Specifications
