SOLD - Nazi Spreewerk P.38 Rig (8907f - 17751)

10/20/21 - This is a very nice example of a Spreewerk P.38 issued to the Nazi military in August of 1943. It is all matching and has the proper "Eagle 88" Nazi military acceptance proofs. There is an "asterisk" marking on the left side of the barrel, indicating it failed initial inspection and was sent back to the factory for repair. It comes as a rig with one period-correct jvd magazine and an excellent 1944-dated black leather holster. The gun has retained about 93% of its bluing. Most of the finish loss is on the front strap, so the profile views are quite nice. There is wear around the high edges of the slide and around the muzzle. Light scratchy wear on both sides of the slide, most noticeable on the right side. Comes with excellent period-correct reddish grips. The bore has good rifling with small areas of minor pitting throughout. De-cocker is functional. The slide has some trouble locking back sometimes with this magazine.
