Description

10/22/21 - This is an excellent example of a Mauser P.38 issued to the Nazi military in 1944. It is all matching and has the proper "Eagle 135" Nazi military acceptance proofs throughout. It comes as a rig with a nice 1943-dated waffen-proofed hardshell holster and two period-correct magazines (one is jvd, the other is Mauser). The gun has retained about 95% of its original finish. There is minor thinning and patina on the front strap and very minor wear on the front edges of the slide and around the muzzle. There are some light scratches on the right side of the slide and frame. Comes with excellent bakelite grips. The bore is shiny with very strong rifling and some very light freckling in some of the grooves. De-cocker is functional. The slide does not lock back with one of the magazines - it works fine with the other.
