Description
10/29/21 - This is a rare and excellent example of an early Nambu Type 14 issued to the Japanese military in June of 1935. Only ~1.7% of total Type 14 production was done at the Kokura Arsenal, all in serial range of 30735-35414 and made in 1935-46. The gun is all matching and was made in the Tokyo arsenal. It also has an early small trigger guard. There is an import mark under the left grip panel. It comes with an early mismatched magazine with a properly nickel-plated tube. The gun has retained about 96% of its original finish. There is minor wear on the very front edges of the frame (most noticeable on the right side) and around the muzzle. There is also an area of wear at the back of the top of the slide. While there isn't much actual finish loss, there is a small area of minor pitting on the barrel. There is also heavy brown patina and pin-pricking on both grip straps. There is pitting under both grip panels. Comes with nice period-correct grips that are un-numbered. The rifling is a bit worn with minor pin-pricking throughout.Specifications
