Description
12/1/21 - This is a very nice example of a Saginaw Gear M1 Carbine issued to the US military between May 1943 - February 1944. A full parts list with markings is included with the photographs. Overall, it is in very nice condition, retaining most of its parkerized finish. The bolt is also parkerized. There is minor wear around the muzzle and some small handling marks around the front sight. Noticeable thinning and a few dots of oxidation on the barrel. The gun was equipped with an adjustable rear sight and bayonet lug, most likely for use during the Korean War. There is a very faint cross-canon cartouche on the right of the stock. Rack number on the wrist. The stock appears to have been lightly sanded. There are minor dings here and there and a light scratch that runs the length of the right side of the butt stock. The gun comes with a Model 8A1 bayonet, scabbard, and a period-correct magazine. The bore is mint.Specifications
