Description
12/13/21 - This is a nice example of a WW1 Colt New Service revolver, manufactured in 1917. This gun was part of a British contract, evidenced by the British proofs and the fact that it is chambered in the British .455 Eley cartridge. The gun functions well and the action is smooth. There are original proof marks on the face of the cylinder, so it has not been shaved or converted. It has retained roughly half of its finish. There is significant wear, discoloration, and light brown patina throughout. The remaining finish is most visible on the sides of the frame and on the cylinder. Comes with excellent original hard rubber grips. The bore has strong rifling, but there are tiny freckles throughout.Specifications
