Description
5/4/26- For sale is a 1916 dated M1905 bayonet produced by Springfield. The blade is bright and has very limited patina, meaning it was likely polished at some point. There are one or two minor blade chips. The blade is stamped on one side with "SA 1916" along with the flaming bomb emblem and "US 639924" on the other side. The wooden grips are intact with no cracking or chipping. The scabbard is the WWI era leather and canvas pattern. There appears to be a stamp on the canvas that is difficult to read. The belt hooks are intact and functional. Overall in very good condition and a unique example of WWI era production before America's entry into the war.
