Description

4/9/21 - This a 1918 DWM Luger with an interesting past. The chamber is dated and it has Imperial proofs on the right side of the slide. It also has a 1920 rework mark, an added police seer safety, and commercial "Crown N" proofs. This would indicate the gun was likely originally issued to the Imperial German Army in 1918, reworked after the war, diverted to the police, and then eventually sold in the commercial market. There is a crossed-out unit marking on the front strap. The gun is all matching and has retained about 91% of its original finish. There is wear on the side plate, front edges of the frame, and around the muzzle. Minor pin-pricking and spotty oxidation throughout. There are areas of minor pitting on the right side of the gun. Comes with nice un-numbered grips and a wood bottom magazine. The magazine is not matching but is only one digit off. The bore is excellent - shiny with strong rifling.
