Description
03/19/26 - For sale is a Gewehr 98 made by Mauser Oberndorf in 1918 and used by the Ottoman Empire during WW1. The rifle finish has aged to a brown patina with a bit of bluing showing through on the barrel. There is some light freckling of oxidation along the woodline. The stock is clean and in good shape overall. There is a 1.5" crack above the recoil bolt on the left side. The bore has strong rifling, but the surface is frosting over. The rifle is mismatched, but many Ottoman Crescent marks on the small parts. The barrel shank has numbers stamped by the Ottomans.
