Description
3/1/22 - This is a nice example of an Erfurt Luger manufactured in 1916. It was initially issued to the Imperial German military, as evidenced by the Imperial proofs on the right side of the slide. It was later reworked and issued to the German police, as evidenced by the added police sear safety and added matching-numbered Haenel police magazine. The gun is all matching and has the proper Erfurt markings throughout. It has retained roughly 65% of its finish. The majority of the finish loss is on both grips straps and on the side plate, where there is also spotty oxidation. There is also minor muzzle wear, very minor wear on the side rails, and minor thinning on the barrel. The left grip is marked "S/42" and the right grip panel is blank. The bore has decent rifling, but there is very minor pin-pricking throughout and some tiny pits here and there.Specifications
