Description

3/10/2023 - This is a pretty rare Walther shotgun, manufactured in April of 1930. The original finish is excellent. One of the best examples we have seen. Very minor handling wear. Some dings in the wood stock, most notably on the left side. Bore is shiny and smooth. Comes in 16 gauge, and has 28-3/8" barrel length. 2-3/4" chambers. Full length matted rib, with plastic florescent orange front sight. The shotgun comes with double triggers, extractors, and automatic safety. The sock has a round knob pistol grip with cheekpiece and 15-1/4" LOP. The butt plate has a slightly hardened waffle pad that we believe is original. Other period photos show a similar buttpad, but we also know many of these have been replaced. Bottom line: We can say for sure on the butt-pad except that is old. There are sling swivels in two places on the gun. The gun is mildly engraved, with one duck on each side towards the front of receiver, along with other ornate markings. The trigger plate is marked "WALTHER / WAFFENFABRIK WALTHER / ZELLA-MEHLIS (THUR)". The weight is 6 lb 9 oz.
