SOLD - 1942 Walther P.38 Rig

Description

6/29/22 - This is a nice example of an AC 42 Walther P.38 issued to the Nazi military in 1942. The gun is all matching and has the proper "Eagle 359" Nazi military acceptance proofs throughout. It comes as a rig with a nice 1942-dated waffen-proofed holster (markings are visible but faint), one period-correct Walther magazine, and one proper Walther magazine that has been buffed and refinished. The gun has retained about 85% of its original finish. Most of the finish loss is on the underside of the frame and on the front strap. There is also wear around the muzzle, on the high edges of the slide, in the ejection port, on the top plate, and on the front edges of the slide. There are tiny spots of minor pitting around the muzzle, on the barrel, and near the front edges of the slide. Comes with very nice period-correct bakelite grips. Minty bore with just hints of frosting in some of the grooves. De-cocker is functional.
