Description

8/20/21 - This is an excellent and complete Nazi Walther P.38 rig from October of 1942. The pistol is all matching and original with ~96% of the finish remaining. It has minor holster wear on the muzzle and front edge of the slide. Frame has a very nice plum hue to its profile. The finish on the front strap is a lighter color but doesn't necessarily appear to be worn or finish loss. Excellent, shiny bore. Good mechanics, including de-cocker. Terrific brown grips. Two Walther magazines included. Rig is completed by a hardshell holster with 1942 date and 'gcx' maker mark. Inside the holster some information is written, perhaps about the GI who brought it back. It appears to read 'Capt. C.R. Wood Lg II Corps'.
