Description
3/30/22 - This is an original 1943 production K98 by Gustloff Werke. The rifle is all matching except for the bolt assembly, which at least has the same last two digits (40) as the rest of the rifle. The bolt is also all matching to itself. The wood stock has a nice blonde color with attractive wood graining, but the wood has been sanded throughout. As a result, there are no discernable markings or stamps on the wood. The interior of the handguard is matching numbered, however, which means this is likely the original stock to the rifle. The metal has some surface patina, edge wear, and normal signs of use and aging throughout without any excessive wear or damage. Fully functional with a very nice bore that rates 8/10 overall. There's some mild patina in the grooves but the bore is generally clean with no rust or pitting and strong rifling.Specifications
