Description

9/30/20 - This is a nice example of a Walther P.38 issued to the Nazi military in 1945. It is all matching, has a correct cog hammer, and has the proper "Eagle 359" Nazi military acceptance proofs. Because the frame is plumb-colored, the gun has a very nice two-tone appearance. It has retained somewhere between 85-90% of its original finish. Generally, there is muzzle wear, wear along the high edges, and small handling marks on the slide throughout. There is an area of discoloration on the top plate. There is thinning on the underside of the frame, most noticeable on the underside of the trigger guard and front strap. Wear on the peak of the tang. Excellent grips. Comes with a period-correct "U"-marked magazine. Excellent bore - shiny with strong rifling. Fully functional, including the de-cocker.
