Description
05/26/26 - For sale is a Springfield M1C Sniper made in 1945 and sold through the CMP. The rifle has an aged parkerized finish with a mixture of light grey and a hint of browning patina. There is some shallow surface pitting on the barrel near the muzzle, and behind the front sight. The gas cylinder and front sight also have some dotting and pitting. The stock has shallow surface scratching and dings. The left side is stamped SA R for Springfield rebuild. The bore is fairly bright with good rifling, but oxidation is visible in the grooves and rifling shows wear at the muzzle. The muzzle erosion rating is 2.5 and throat erosion is 2. The receiver has an original M1C Mount with the scope serial stamped underneath. No scope or base included. Comes with a CMP COA and a typed document tracking where this rifle was from 1978 til being sold at the CMP.
