Description
05/28/26 - This is a Springfield M1 Garand made in 1945 that was converted to a Mk2 Mod 0 by H&R to 7.62x51 NATO. These conversions were done using chamber bushings but were deemed unreliable due to the sleeves coming loose and ejecting with a spent casing, creating a hazard. The metal has a nice dark parkerized finish applied during the rebuild. The gas cylinder shows finish loss. The stock is unmarked but in good condition overall. There are a few hard dings but no cracks or breaks. The bore is bright with strong rifling. The muzzle erosion rating is 2. The rifle is a mixture of parts manufacturers and variations. A 1945 Springfield converted to the Navy's Mk2 Mod 0.
