Description
09/24/26 - This is a 1950 Winchester Model 70 chambered in .257 Roberts. The rifle has a nice bluing throughout. The receiver had been hand-engraved and finished over after it had left the factory, and not by one of Winchester's Engravers. The stock is in great shape, with a few handling marks and scratches and no cracks or breaks. Believed to be a commercial replacement as the pattern of the forward checkering, the straight comb, and the peep sight cutout do not match factory Winchester configurations. The bore is bright with strong rifling. The trigger guard and magazine floor have also been replaced with an engraved example and have a gold inlay deer in the middle. Comes equipped with a Weaver K4-1 Scope. A hand-engraved Model 70 in .257 Roberts with a gold inlay deer on the floor plate.
