Description
4/5/22 - This is an excellent example of an early Colt 1911 Government Model sold in the commercial market in 1913. "Government Model" on the right side of the frame and "Colt Automatic Calibre 45" on the right side of the slide. The barrel is marked "Colt .45 Auto" and has a "G" under the lug. The entire gun has been professionally restored, so the bluing is really nice. The gun has retained about 98% of its new bluing. Most of the wear is spotty on the left side of the slide around the muzzle. There are a few tiny scratches here and there. There is a tiny chip in the metal on the underside of the slide (see photo). Comes with excellent wood grips and a two-tone magazine. The bore has good rifling with some frosting in the grooves.Specifications
