Description

6/7/22 - This is a Colt Government Model 1911 sold in the commercial market in 1919. It has retained roughly 70% of its original high polish finish. The majority of the finish loss is on both grip straps - there is virtually no finish left on the front strap. There is also scratchy wear along the whole slide, concentrated mostly around the high edges. Some tiny freckling here and there along the left side of the gun. Comes with nice wood grips and one magazine. The thumb safety has a different finish than the rest of the gun and may have been replaced. There is a red dot painted onto the front sight. The barrel has been replaced with a later Colt barrel. Excellent shiny bore with just very minor frosting in the grooves.
