Description
2/21/23 - This is a nice example of an AC 45 Walther P.38 made at the very end of WW2. This is a GI mismatched gun, put together by an American GI when the Walther factory was liberated. All of the parts are mismatched and in the proper "c" serial block, correct for this variation. It also only has one "Eagle 359" military acceptance proof on the right side of the slide, indicating it was never issued. The barrel has an "asterisk" marking, indicating it failed initial inspection and was sent back to the factory for repair. The entire gun was refinished, and there is splotchy discoloration in the bluing throughout. On the left side of the slide, there are areas of minor pitting under the finish and a few very light scratches. Comes with very nice reddish grips and a scarce, period-correct "ac"-marked Walther magazine. The bore is mint. De-cocker does not function properly.Specifications
