Description
4/26/22 - This is a very nice example of a Remington Rand Model 1911A1 issued to the US military in 1943. The gun is "United States Property" marked, has the proper "FJA" inspection initials, and has a cross-canon military cartouche on the left side of the frame. High Standard barrel. The slide is the correct variation for this serial range, but the color does not match the frame exactly, so it's likely the slide and frame were mated later. In any case, the gun has retained about 92-93% of its parkerized finish. The majority of the finish loss is on the front strap, but there is also minor wear on the high edges of the slide and around the muzzle. Comes with excellent period-correct plastic grips and a post-war magazine. Excellent bore with strong rifling.Specifications
