Description

5/23/22 - This is an excellent example of a scarce AC 44 Walther P.38, with frame produced at the FN factory as evidenced by the "Eagle 140" proof. Krutzek's P.38 book estimates that only 7,300 frames were produced and used by FN on World War II original pistols. This one is all matching and has the proper "Eagle 359" proofs throughout. It has retained about 97% of its bluing. The frame has a really nice plumb color to it. There is minor wear around the muzzle, at the front edges of the slide, and minor thinning on the front strap. Comes with excellent reddish bakelite grips and a period-correct "Eagle 359" proofed magazine. Minty bore with some minor fouling in the grooves. De-cocker is functional.
