Description

10/9/23 - This is an excellent example of a scarce AC 44 Walther P.38, with frame produced at the FN factory as evidenced by the "Eagle 140" proof. Krutzek's P.38 book estimates that only 7,300 frames were produced and used by FN on World War II original pistols. This one is all matching and has the proper "Eagle 359" proofs throughout. It has retained about 95% of its bluing. There is minor wear around the muzzle, at the front edges of the slide, and minor thinning on the front strap. A few small dots of discoloration at the front left of the slide. Excellent bakelite grips and a period-correct "Eagle 359" proofed magazine. Excellent bore. De-cocker is functional.
