Description
6/13/22 - This is a nice example of a Remington Model 1917 rifle issued to the US military during WW1. The barrel is Eddystone marked and is dated October of 1917. The bolt is marked Eddystone as well and has a flaming bomb military proof. The stock is marked "3GM-K". There is much debate in the collector community as to what this marking actually means, but most believe that it is a rework stamp. Overall, the gun is in nice condition. There are areas of tiny pin-pricking and one spot of oxidation on the receiver. Minor scratchy wear on the barrel and barrel bands. Some minor discoloration on the floor plate. Noticeable wear around the edges of the butt plate. The stock is nice but is covered in what looks like tiny white mold spores. The bore has good rifling, but there are spots of oxidation and small pits throughout.Specifications
