Description

9/20/22 - This is a very nice example of a "bcd 42" Gustloff Werke K98 issued to the Nazi military in 1942. The gun is all matching except for the bolt which is mismatched. Proper waffen proofs throughout. The stock is not numbered, but there is a faint waffen proof on the underside of the butt stock. It comes with a period-correct leather sling that is worn with tiny surface cracking throughout and completely torn on one end. Overall, the gun is in very nice condition. There is minor wear around the high edges of the receiver, finish loss on the right side of the rear barrel band, some scratchy wear around the muzzle and front barrel band, and some tiny dings and thinning along the barrel. Some noticeable thinning and spotty oxidation on the floor plate. The stock is very nice with only minor handling marks and scratches here and there. Mint bore.
