Description
6/2/22 - This is a very nice example of a Smith-Corona Model 03-A3 issued to the US military in 1943. The barrel is marked "RA" and is dated July of 1944. The front sight hood, front barrel band, and bolt are replaced with Remington parts. There are "C-SAA" arsenal markings on both sides of the stock, indicating this gun was reworked at the San Antonio Arsenal. On the left side of the stock, there is also a faint cross-canon cartouche and a proper "FJA" Frank Atwood inspection stamp. There is minor wear around the high edges in general and some small spots of discoloration on the barrel. The rear sight is a little loose and moves left to right slightly. Excellent stock with only minor bruises here and there and one more noticeable gouge on the left side. Excellent bore with strong rifling.Specifications
