Description
11/28/22 - This is a very nice example of a Smith-Corona 03-A3 rifle issued to the US military in 1944. The barrel is "S-C" marked and dated July of 1943. The stock has the proper cross-cannon military cartouche and "FJA" inspection stamp. There is also an "OG" marking on the left side of the butt stock, indicating that this gun was reworked at the Ogden Arsenal. Overall, the gun is very nice. There is not much actual finish loss, but there is some light spotty oxidation along the barrel and brown patina on the floor plate / trigger group. There is no major damage to the stock, but there are noticeable dings, bruises, and scratches throughout. There is also a small crack on the right side that was professionally repaired. There are what appear to be rack numbers painted in black on both sides of the butt stock. Mint bore.Specifications
