Description

11/7/22 - This is a nice example of a Spreewerk P.38 issued to the Nazi military in October of 1943. It is all matching and has the proper "Eagle 88" military acceptance proofs throughout. The gun has retained roughly 75% of its original finish. The majority of the finish loss is on the front strap, but there is also some thinning along the barrel and minor wear around the muzzle and high edges of the slide. An area of wear at the right front of the slide and some light scratches at the back right of the slide. Areas of spotty oxidation and pin-pricking on the left side of the gun and on the front strap. Comes with excellent reddish bakelite grips and a period-correct jvd magazine. The bore has strong rifling with some minor freckling here and there. De-cocker is functional.
