Description
12/12/22 - This is an excellent example of an Arisaka Type 38 rifle issued to the Japanese military during WW2. All numbered parts are matching (many parts are un-numbered). It does have an Imperial mum stamp on the receiver, but we believe it was previously ground, blued-over, and reapplied. Overall, the gun has retained about 96-97% of its bluing. There are areas of very minor wear on the butt plate, underside of the trigger guard, and hints of wear around the high edges in general. The stock shows the usual signs of wear we're used to seeing - dings and bruises throughout and a couple of more noticeable gouges in the wood here and there. No major damage. It comes with a cleaning rod, a reproduction dust cover, and a reproduction canvas sling. Very nice bore with good rifling. The rear sight is incorrect, but instead for a type 99 rifle (still WW2 original part).Specifications
