Description
11/23/22 - This is a very nice example of a Winchester M1 Garand issued to the US military during WW2. The receiver dates to about March of 1943. The barrel is Springfield marked and dated April of 1944. The stock is a post-war replacement and has a US DOD acceptance stamp on the left side. Overall, the gun is in very nice condition and has retained about 90% of its finish. The majority of the finish loss comes in the form of muzzle wear and minor thinning along the gas tube. There is also a small area of oxidation on the receiver and some very light scuffs on the trigger group. There is no major damage to the stock, but there are small hairline cracks in the front and upper handguards. Small dings and bruises throughout with one or two more noticeable gouges toward the front on the right side. The bore is near-mint. Throat reading: 2. Muzzle reading: 1.Specifications
