Description

12/5/22 - This is a rare Steyr Model G29/40 issued to the Nazi military in 1939. It has the proper "Waffen 623" Steyr military acceptance proofs and a "660" Steyr factory code on the receiver. There are no markings on the stock, which appears to be a replacement. The gun is mostly mismatched. The metal parts have retained roughly 40% of their bluing with areas of thinning on the receiver, along the barrel, and on the floor plate / trigger group. No finish on the rear barrel band. The wood stock is minty, but there appears to be a repair on the underside near the wrist. The rifling in the bore is a bit worn with oxidation throughout.
