Description
11/23/22 - This is a nice example of a Springfield M1 Garand issued to the US military during WW2. The receiver dates to about May of 1943. The barrel is Springfield marked and dated June of 1943. The stock is "P" proofed, has a faint military cartouche on the left side, and also has a faint "SA" marking. Overall, the gun is in nice condition, retaining roughly 70% of its original finish. Generally, there is even thinning in the finish throughout and wear around the high edges. The wood stock has no major damage, but there is obvious bruising and scratching throughout - most noticeable on the butt stock and on the front handguard. The front handguard wiggles a little bit. Throat reading: 1. Muzzle reading: 4. Comes with a period-correct canvas sling.Specifications
