SOLD - Commercial Mauser Wehrmansgewehr Rifle

1/13/23 - This is a commercial production and put-together Mauser Wehrmansgewehr, or commercial Gewehr 98. This is a parts gun conversion put together after WW1. The receiver is unmarked except for "N" "B" and "U" commercial proof stamps. The receiver and bolt assembly has no remaining finish and some spotty surface patina throughout, but no rust or pitting. The barrel measures 28.5 inches (from the end of the receiver) and has retained most of the blued finish, although there's dark surface patina and aging mixed within the finish, leaving a natural aged look. A few of the small parts are numbered, but none of them are matching. The receiver has no serial number. The bore is in good overall condition with strong rifling but has significant patina and some residue within the grooves. Would benefit greatly from a proper cleaning, but we currently rate at 7/10. The stock has been heavily sanded and bleached. There are a few mild imperfections in the stock, but overall the stock is in great condition and has no cracks. Mechanically sound with an adjustable rear sight.
