Description

1/16/23 - This is a minty example of an AC 45 Walther P.38 made at the very end of WW2. This is a GI mismatched gun, put together by an American GI when the Walther factory was liberated. All of the parts are mismatched and in the proper "c" serial block, correct for this variation. It only has one "Eagle 359" military acceptance proof on the right side of the slide, indicating it was never issued. It has a mixture of phosphate and blued parts. This one also has a "35 asterisk" marking on the left side of the frame. This marking has been observed on other late-war guns and some Mod HP pistols. The exact meaning of this marking is still unknown in the collector community. This particular gun has retained about 97% of its original finish. There is minor thinning on the front strap and some very minor wear on the front edges of the slide. Fitted with excellent reddish bakelite grips and comes with a jvd magazine. Excellent, shiny bore with strong rifling. De-cocker functions properly.
