Description

4/20/23 - This is an excellent example of a Spreewerk P.38 issued to the Nazi military in January of 1944. All matching with the proper "Eagle 88" proofs throughout. There is an "asterisk" marking on the right side of the barrel, indicating it failed initial inspection and was repaired at the factory - a desirable trait for collectors. The gun has retained about 95% of its original finish. There is minor thinning on the front strap and areas of minor wear around the muzzle and on the front edges of the slide. A few very light scratches / scuffs here and there. Fitted with excellent blackish-brown bakelite grips. Comes with a P.38v magazine - ribbed follower. Excellent, shiny bore with strong rifling. De-cocker is functional.
