Description

3/3/23 - This is a nice example of a Colt Model 1917 Revolver issued to the US military during WW1. It is all matching, "United States Property" marked, and has the proper "Eagle S20" military acceptance proof. It has retained roughly 60% of its finish. There is noticeable finish loss on the cylinder and both grip straps. Areas of noticeable splotchy discoloration along the barrel and on the frame, especially on the left side. Fitted with fairly worn wood grips - noticeable bruising on both sides, a chip on the right side, and some numbers lightly scratched into the left side. Original lanyard ring is intact. Excellent bore with strong rifling. The cylinder is tight, and the action is smooth.
