Description
12/8/23 - This is a 1918 production Springfield M1903 bolt-action rifle. The rifle was likely used at the end of WW1, and then sent to an arsenal for rework and reissue. As a result, the receiver metal has been refinished, and the barrel has been replaced. The barrel is Springfield production and 1938 dated. The bore shows light signs of use, and has some mild residue within the grooves, but the rifling is strong throughout. 8/10 overall. Overall metal finish rates around 90% with some mild handling wear and high edge wear. Smooth action and fully functional with an adjustable rear sight. This example also features a WW1 era stock, although there are no visible proof stamps or markings on the wood. Comes with a Korean post-WW2 production canvas sling.Specifications
