Description
4/3/23 - This is an excellent example of a "Red 9" Mauser C96 chambered in 9mm and issued to the Imperial German military during WW1. It is all matching and Imperial proofed. This particular gun was captured by the British, as evidenced by the British export proofs on the underside of the barrel and the "Not English Make" marking on the right side of the slide. It has retained about 94% of its original finish with very minor wear around the muzzle and on the high edges of the frame. Light, somewhat scratchy wear along the underside of the barrel. A light scratch on the floor plate. Fitted with excellent matching-numbered "Red 9" wood grips. The bore has strong rifling, but there is spotty oxidation throughout.Specifications
