Description

4/18/23 - This is a very nice example of a Colt Model 1917 issued to the US military during WW1. All matching, "United States Property" marked, and has the proper military inspection proof on the left side of the frame. It has retained roughly 85% of its original bluing. The majority of the finish loss is on the grip straps and underside of the trigger guard, so the profile views are excellent. Fitted with very nice period-correct wood grips. They are both hand-numbered - the right panel is not matching, the left number is illegible. The bore is mint.
