Description
6/5/23 - This is an excellent example of a Smith & Wesson Model 1917 revolver issued to the US military during WW1. It is all matching, "United States Property" marked, and has the proper flaming bomb and "Eagle Head S6" proofs. It comes as a rig with a very nice 1918-dated holster with its original leather lanyard. The gun has retained about 96% of its original high polish bluing. Very minor wear around the muzzle and on some of the high edges. Light spotty wear along both sides of the barrel. Light roll mark on the cylinder. Minor dulling and very light brown patina on the grip straps. Excellent case-hardening on the hammer and trigger. Fitted with excellent un-numbered wood grips. Excellent bore with great rifling.Specifications
