Description

6/6/23 - This is a Colt Model 1917 revolver issued to the US military in 1918. It is matching, "United States Property" marked, and has the proper "Eagle Head S20" military proof. There is a tiny cross-canon cartouche and "S" marking on the right side of the frame. All matching. It has lost most of its finish with obvious spotty brown patina and oxidation covering the whole gun. Fitted with sanded and refinished wood grips. Excellent bore - shiny with strong rifling. The cylinder is tight, and the action is smooth.
