Description
7/21/23 - This is a WW2 original 1903-A3 by Smith Corona that was arsenal refurbished after WW2. The refurbish included replacing the stock and refinishing the metal, leaving the rifle in the condition we find it today. The rifle still has the original 1943 dated Smith Corona barrel however, and the bore is in near-mint condition with only traces of patina around the edges of the grooves. The metal rates at around 90% overall condition due to some light finish loss on the bolt, rear sight, muzzle area, barrel bands, and magazine floorplate / trigger guard. This is light finish loss, and there are no areas of dark discoloration, rust, or pitting. The stock is in excellent condition with only a few small dents and dings. The left side of the stock is "CMP" arsenal stamped as shown. Comes with a reproduction 1917 dated Hoyt leather sling.Specifications
