Description

8/21/23 - This is a very nice example of an AC 42 Walther P.38 issued to the Nazi military in 1942. It is all matching with the proper "Eagle 359" military acceptance proofs throughout. It has retained roughly 85% of its original finish. The majority of the finish loss is on the front strap. There is minor wear around the muzzle and some areas of minor pitting and oxidation on some of the high edges of the slide and on the top strap. The frame has a nice plum color to it. Fitted with excellent period-correct blackish-brown bakelite grips and comes with a numbered but mismatched magazine. The bore has strong rifling with minor freckling throughout. De-cocker is functional.
