Description
9/6/24 - This is an original M1921 Mauser "Bolo", manufactured in the late 1920's. The Treaty of Versailles, signed in 1919, imposed restrictions on pistol barrel lengths and calibers on German arms manufacturers. Mauser began manufacturing a compliant version of the C96 for commercial sale with shorter, 3.9 inch barrel. This one is mostly matching but has a mismatched floor plate. The floor plate is only off by one number (1194), so it's possible it's a factory error - can't say for sure. The gun has retained roughly 80-85% of its original finish. There is general high edge wear and some finish loss on the left side of the barrel and frame. Minor pitting on the left side of the slide and frame. Fitted with very nice matching-numbered wood grips. Nice bore with good rifling and minor frosting in the grooves.Specifications
