10/6/23 - This is a very nice example of a Mauser Kriegsmodell rifle assembled at the end of WW2, in 1945. This particular gun has a rare "svw MB" Mauser factory code. Many of these guns were assembled by the French after they took over the factory from the Germans at the end of WW2. This one was likely assembled by the French, because it has a French-style cleaning rod. It is mismatched, and some of the parts have been re-numbered. The bluing rates about 93% with general high edge wear and some light scratches here and there. Nice wood stock with the typical signs of wear. Mint bore.
