Description

12/5/23 - This is a Colt Model 1917 issued to the US military during WW1. All matching, "United States Property" marked, and has the proper "Eagle Head S15" military acceptance proof. The original finish rates about 96% with very minor wear around the muzzle and on the high edges. While there is very little actual finish loss, there is light brown patina under the finish throughout and some light spotty oxidation on the right side of the frame. Excellent wood grips. The bore has strong rifling, but there is very light spotty surface oxidation throughout.
