Description
3/4/24 - This is a very rare Walther PPK from near the end of the Nazi era. It is mismatched with factory original chrome finish, nickled slide. Most people would look at this pistol and assume it was refinished by a GI, but there were about 200 chrome finished PPKs produced in 1944. But this is in a serial range of other known chrome guns. They have unique features such as the duraluminum frame, blued small parts, with a black finger extension. Of the 200 guns produced, only about 25 are known to still exist. They were all made in 1944 for some special reason or presentation, but that information is lost to history. This one is mismatched and was likely put together by a GI when the factory was liberated. This particular pistol is in excellent condition with just micro-scratches in finish (typical). There is a tiny crack on the right side of the slide at the slide serrations. Fitted with a late-war black grip. Excellent bore.Specifications
