Description
2/6/24 - This is an excellent example of an Arisaka Type 38 rifle issued to the Japanese military during WW2. It is all matching and comes with an original matching-numbered dust cover. This one has a "Concentric Circle Mum" stamp on the receiver. There is a lot of debate in the collector community as to the meaning of this particular marking, but it is generally believed that they are "school rifles" used for training. There are faint remnants of what looks like a traditional mum flower under it. The finish on the metal parts rates about 95% with some minor muzzle wear and some minor thinning with light brown patina on the rear barrel band and floor plate. The wood has no major damage but shows the typical signs of wear and use. Mint bore.Specifications
